Floral and Lace out to BunnyChow

Love this ASOS curve skirt, I love how the little florals and the lace make it so granny-fied lol

I saw this skirt on the ASOS website and knew I had to have it but the original price was £45 which for me was just a little too much for a skirt. As soon as I saw this skirt in the sale for £13 I chucked it into the basket, It was out of stock in a size 28 which is what I ideally would have liked but for £13 I was willing to risk a size 26…. and I am so glad that I did, the skirt fits like a dream.

I love the mix of lace and floral as its so pretty and girly, Its a great length so I’m happy to wear it without leggings (I wore it with leggings on this occasion as it was freezing in London). I just wore it with a plain black top, a tan belt and tan brogues 🙂

*Debz at WannabePrincess has also blogged this skirt here if you want to see it on someone else*

I wore this outfit out in Soho to a new food restaurant called Bunny Chow, They are now open to the general public and I strongly advise you go check them out. They are a street food restaurant that serve food originated in South Africa, your meal is served to you in a little bread loaf that absorbs the flavours from whatever dish you chose and you get to eat your ‘bowl’ when you are done.
I chose the Bunny Dog which is Baby Cumberland sausages, onion gravy, blue cheese and mustard. It was absolutely delicious and the bread bowl had sopped up some of the gravy and was so nice to eat afterwards. I will definitely be going to try out another bunny next time I’m in London.

They also offer a range of sweet treats including what I had for ‘dessert’, it was an apple with spiced fruits in the middle, everything is so well presented and delicious.

I
I also got a lemon muffin to take away with me.
All the little extras are really nice but what will have me going back again and again is most definitely the Bunnies.. Its such a good idea and so tasty.
Have you tried anything like this before? or do you know of any other fun places to eat that I may want to try????

My little bit on Plus North

Quick little post about Plus North.
Now that I live in the Midlands I am a lot closer to all the northern events, so as soon as the plus north tickets were released I got mine even though I was still living in London at the time I knew the event wasn’t til after my move.
Me at Derby station waiting for my train (don’t look all that excited but trust me I am! lol)
I was going straight to the event as we couldn’t check in that early so I was dressed for plus north and had my face on. I did really simple make up so I would find it easy to turn it into a night look without bringing too many items with me.
I don’t have any pictures of what I wore during the day at plus north, Here is a picture taken by Yours Clothing of Me and Debz from Wannabe Princess.
I wore a pair of jeans, a black Tee and a check shirt, probably the most comfortable outfit you can imagine but after weeks of debating on what to wear I woke up that morning and that was how i felt most comfortable.
I stuck with the monochrome check for my evening outfit too, I wore the Check Bandeau dress from Asos
Loving this bag at the moment, one I picked up from Chunky cat Cuddler at StyleXL
shoes are from Primark x
I didn’t take many pictures of the actual event, which I kinda regret now. I was more interested in having a good time, seeing friends and meeting new people that I had been interacting with online.
Absolutely love this girl… Hollie of Pretty Big Butterflies
After a few glasses of wine I went round taking selfies with some familiar faces lol

In the evening I kept my makeup the same I just added a touch of black eye shadow to make the eyes a little more smokey and I was good to go.
bar bathroom selfie lol
After the evening event a whole bunch of us went out for a couple more drinks afterwards which I really enjoyed. I absolutely loved sitting and chatting with the other bloggers and can’t wait ti see everyone again at future events.
I had such a good time at Plus North and will 100% attend again, I really wish I went last year but I was really really new to blogging and didn’t know what to expect. I would now advise anyone who thinks they might enjoy it to come along as its such a great event and friendly atmosphere.

It’s True Love – an ode to the Kimono

Any of you that read my blog or follow me on any form of social media you will know that I have a not so little obsession with Kimonos.
The kimono trend is one that I have fallen head over heels for, they are so versatile, I love that I am able to dress them up or down.
In some of my previous posts I have pictures in Kimonos dressed up and with more casual outfits.
For the purpose of this post I am showing my kimonos all with the same simple black outfit of a midi skirt and tucked in vest top just so that the kimonos are the focus.
This one is the Floral Print Kimono from Pink Clove
The pictures don’t do the colours in this kimono any justice at all, it is so lovely and vibrant. I love wearing this kimono to add a little summer to any outfit.
This is the Multi Print Floral Kimono from Yours Clothing
This Kimono I got in a size 36 so it is super comfy and I have enough material for it to come together when its windy, I tend to wear this one on casual days with leggings and a T-shirt.
This is the Floral Print Sheer Georgette longline from Yours Clothing
This is probably my most grown up and sophisticated of all my kimonos and the one I wear the least.
This is the Tropical Floral Print Kimono from ASOS Curve
This one is my favourite for casual days with jeans and a pair on converse.
The newest addition to my Kimono collection is this one…
This is the Neon Peach Oriental Floral Kimono from New Look
I got this one for my birthday last week and is my new favourite, I absolutely adore the colours and the light and airy fabric, It is coming in so handy at the moment because London is scorching hot.
I have just realised while writing this post that all five of my kimonos are floral print…. hmm maybe time to hunt for one with something else on lol
Whenever I am out and about and see a Kimono I always try it on just to see if I fall in love with it. I am trying so hard not to buy any more but they seem to call to me. One thing I do know is that I will continue wearing Kimonos long after the trend had died. I think they are the perfect item to throw on on a hot day and I’m actually looking forward to when the cold weather comes back so I can wear them with jeans and a roll neck jumper and boots…doesn’t sound awesome but trust me, just wait and see!!!
Are any of you as in love with these as I am? I can’t see how anyone can live without one lol
Thank you so much for stopping by xx

5 outfits, 1 post!

What I’ve been wearing over the last couple of weeks.
With moving house I have been dressing for comfort and practicality, I have taken a few pictures but haven’t really felt like I have worn much to blog about.
I am just doing this quick post about some of the things I have worn recently that I really love and have kept going back to and just show you where the items are available x
I got this maxi dress from new look inspire in their extended range up to a size 32 online, I have just had a look and can no longer find it on the website even though I know I saw it there last week 🙁
I love this dress so much, I’m not really one for bright colours and big prints but I really enjoyed wearing this dress, it felt so summery and all the pink makes it super girly. Its a Bandeau maxi and has no straps and comes with a weaved tan belt which you can see if you look closely lol.
Like I said i have been dressing mostly for comfort, this outfit was for a day of unpacking and then a quick trip to IKEA. I did however want to mention this T-Shirt at some point. This is the ASOS curve oversized T-shirt and is massive, I wear a size 32 and this top is a size 28 and it is huge. I love it, it is such a nice piece to just throw on and go I also wear it alot with black leggings. Here I have it on with a pair of old evans jeans and white converse. The jacket is the Khaki Asymmetric Military jacket with PU sleeves
I wore this outfit to have dinner with family in London, It is an old Simplybe floral blazer, Primark crop top, Primark shoes and old evans jeans. The reason I am including this outfit is because i feel like it pushes boundaries in that i think its rare to see women my size not trying to cover their tummies etc. i love this outfit and i felt so fierce in it. this is definitely one that I will recreate again.
I love this Joe Browns dress, I is covered in a small bird print and is full of autumn colours, its such cute little day dress and I really enjoy wearing it. Its has 3/4 length sleeves and is a a light weight fabric and was great to wear between the seasons.
The jacket is the one I mentioned above, black leggings and black converse, This dress is a Pink clove jersey dress that I picked up a couple of months ago and has actually just gone into the sale today here – Pink Clove Skater Dress
The only thing I can say is that its is the most comfortable item I own! I could have easily sized down, I bought it in my true size and it is very loose and comfy, pair it with leggings and I swear its like you are not even wearing any clothes. This was me on moving day and it was the perfect choice.
Do you have any of these items? or any suggestions for me based on what I like?? I love people suggesting items for me 🙂

Wild Thing I Think I love You.

I bought this leopard print Alice and You swing dress from ASOS at the end of last year and I have no idea why I haven’t mentioned it til now.

Its such a lovely dress, Its my first ever swing dress and I wasn’t too sure at first because I have massive boobs and was a little worried that it might look funny but since I am such a fan of leopard print I had to have it and now i am really glad that i got it.

I wanted to write this post so all you big busted ladies who are unsure about swing dresses can see what it looks like on someone my size..

This will be a very picture heavy post as there is not all that much to say… just have a look and see what you think.

I might actually prefer this dress with a belt around the middle to give it a bit more shape, but I was happy wearing it like this for the evening.

The bag is from the Zara basic range.
I just have on a pair of black leggings and a pair of brown ankle boots from Evans
I wore my old Evans stud detailed biker jacket.

Yup!!! I prefer this dress when its given some shape… Defo think I will try it with a belt next time.

Wow… looks like I have a waist lol
On my face I stuck to browns and black to tie in with the animal print in the dress. I kept my lips neutral as the eye makeup is the focus.

A pic of me with X Factor’s ‘Brick City’ at an Art fund raising event

I hope people actually enjoy reading my posts or at least find them a little helpful xxxx

OneOneThree Fashion Show and my OOTN

OneOneThree Fashion Show and my OOTN
Recently I have been going to as many fashion events as I can, so when I heard about the oneonethree fashion show that was taking place on Monday I made sure I got tickets. I was already aware of the brand and have a few pieces from their current collection so I was excited to see what they had coming next.
As you are all aware I tend not to pay too much attention to clothing sizes and generally wear whatever I like, oneonethree pieces go up to a size 26 in most of their items and I wear a size 30/32 but the items of theirs that I do have fit very well.
Group shot of the models in the collection.
Unfortunately I was unable to get very many pictures of the collection due to lighting etc.. but I’m sure there will be pictures of the collection available through social media.
The collection was very punk rock inspired (well at least it appeared that way to me) I liked the edginess of the collection and am really looking forward to seeing how people style some of the individual pieces. I feel the collection leaves a lot of room for interpretation which can be excellent for appealing to a wider demographic.
I saw a lot of leather and tartan on the catwalk and felt like I fit right in with my red and black ASOS curve midi skirt and new look leatherette jacket.
My crop top is a piece I got from H&M last year and is a UK size 16 (u cant wear that! lol)
The top is advertised and sold as over size which means that it fits me perfectly as a ‘my size’ crop top.
I love this top that reads ‘Find me backstage’ which is really appropriate as I am a makeup artist by trade and am usually found backstage at events like this.
Me in the venue
I am wearing my simply be extra wide calf fitting boots as it was absolutely freezing that evening.

This is a picture of me with my younger sister, who I took along with me to the show. I kept the makeup simple with winged liner and a classic red lip, MAC’s RiRi Woo
Thought I would throw in my Instagram filtered pic as I really like it, this was taken while waiting for the doors to open for the show.
The show took place at the Metalworks in Angel, Islington.
There was a piece in the collection that I absolutely loved, Its a multicoloured (what almost looks like stained glass) jersey maxi dress. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of it but I will definitely blog about it when its up on the site.
Thank you all for reading once again xxx

Squiggles n Boots

Baby Shower Oufit Of The Day

This dress is an ex ASOS item, This year I have been obsessed with the skater dress shape. ASOS has a huge range of skater dresses in their Curve department and I will forever be grateful for this 🙂

I believe this one was called the squiggle print, I may be wrong, Its white with black, blue and purple patterns, Its in jersey fabric and is so comfortable and roomy.

One this particular day I wore it with New Look leggings and my new New Look Camden Boots

I absolutely love these boots, they have a few variations of these but I personally preferred the black on black. They are called Camden boots and I would simply describe them as heeled workman boots.

I had very simply makeup as I was attending a daytime event and I wore a chunky silver chain from Primark.

I wore my New Look Biker Jacket and my Washed Leather Handbag from TopShop.

I really liked this whole outfit, It was super comfy and casual but I still felt like I had made an effort.

Thanks for reading guys xx

Outfit of the day… Love this dress by ASOS Curve

First time I’ve worn this dress and I love it!

Last week ASOS has a 50% off 50 items sale… I went on the site and was really pleased to see that the sale carried over into their ASOS Curve department too… One item in particular stood out to me and it was actually something that I had looked at before so when I saw that it was half price I had to snap it up!

love how this dress makes my boobs look lol

Its the ‘ASOS CURVE Pinafore Dress In Paisley Print’ I absolutely love this dress, I wore it with a Simplybe bodysuit, and new look leggings underneath. This dress is now back up to its full price of £36.00
I am a massive fan of paisley print and I love earth tones in the winter. I wore this with a pair of brown ankle boots from Evans  and a tan tassel bag from new look.

I wanted to try and dress the look up a little so I put on a pair of tan suede ankle boots with a Cuban heel but as soon as I saw the rain outside I went straight back to my Evans boots lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Outfit Of The Day… Monochrome Deliciousness

Monochrome OOTD
I went to the official launch of Gemma Cruickshank’s clothing line last week and this is what I wore….
I am completely and totally in love with this oversized blazer from the New Look inspire range… I have literally been chucking it on over everything… It is still available now Grey Leather look trim blazer
I got these Peg trousers in heart print from asos curve, they are in a size 28 but I was determined to get my fat little legs into them so I bought them just hoping and I actually really love them
*I have to give credit to another blogger who I met at another clothing event and she had them on, I fell in love with them and she told me where I could find them…The beautiful Mrs BeBe x
These shoes have actually featured in an earlier blog post so I wont say too much, but I sometimes have difficulty keeping shoes on so this day I decided to tie them on with two pieces of chiffon and I think it worked quite well…They made the shoes look really fun!

I really hope everyone enjoys the OOTD post because I’m thinking of making it a regular thing.
