British Plus Size Awards feat. Estella

On Saturday night I was lucky enough to attend the British Plus Size Awards held in London because my best friend won two tickets, she was also a nominee for  best blogger WannabePrincess.

I wore a Beautiful Lady V London Dress. This is the Damask print Estella Dress Designed by the gorgeous George at Fuller Figure Fuller Bust I have this dress in three prints as I am in love with the style and think its a great dress for my shape.

My shoes, necklace and fluffy handbag are all from NewLook in the last two weeks and are all still available.

Overall it was a lovely evening, It was so nice to get all dressed up and have a really grown up sophisticated night, I’m more of a night out in a club type girl so this was a really nice change. We arrived to a champagne reception, which was lovely and it was so nice to see so many other bloggers in attendance. I’m usually really bad at taking pictures when I attend events so I made sure that I had my phone in hand at all times to snap a few pics.

The three course meal was really lovely, I had Pâté to start and then a beautiful beef roast dinner for main and had a citrus cheesecake for dessert.  It was so nice to see so many familiar faces in all their finery, I took a few pics with some fellow bloggers.

Me and the princess. (if you can’t tell, we love a good selfie) Saturday night was a great night for boobs and selfies lol

I think the nominees should have been given free tickets anyway if you ask me, it may have decreased the amount of ‘Unfortunately _______ was unable to attend to collect his/her award’ speeches. Aside from the lack of winners attendance it was a great evening with some really fun entertainment. I especially enjoyed the humour of presenter Matt Johnson. But I would have to say the highlight of the evening, performance wise, would definitely have to be by Ashleigh Owen. I have seen her perform before at the Hamburger Queen finals and she was amazing then too, a very well deserved standing ovation from our table.

Considering this is an event I wasn’t planning on going to I had a really nice time and got a chance to catch up a lot of people that I already know from various areas of my life, whether it be my makeup work, blogging or my general social nights out and I would definitely be up for going again should another ticket fall into my lap.

Lastly I would like to say a massive congratulations to all the winners and nominees on the night xx

I, like a lot of women, love to get all dressed up… prettying up my face and put on something cute.
I love experimenting with my hair and changing up my make-up looks to suit my mood/the occasion.
But I wanted to to a blog post that was basically just me stripped back from all the extras saying… Look, This is me… The real me.
No make-up and No extra hair

This is my natural hair, The hair that I was born with. No straightening techniques, no hair managing products, just my hair as it grows out of my head. I love braids and weaves and wearing my hair straight etc… but I also love my natural hair. My hair is big and wild and difficult to manage just like me!

I have poor vision so I need glasses, and I love those too lol, I like the way I look in glasses and  think everyone can look good in the right pair of frames. Day to day when I’m out running errands and such I don’t wear any make-up and I kind feel a bit like a fraud when in all my blog posts I’m all made up. So this blog post is just basically a short post showing you all the real me.

All the dressing up is so fun but I always strip back to ‘Me’ and have recently realised that that is just as great.

Also if anyone is interested in me doing any hair posts just let me know x

My Primark Treasures!!! VIDEO!!

Good day ladies 🙂
People always seem really surprised when I say I buy clothes from Primark… not because its Primark but because I wear a UK size 30/32 and Primark do clothes up to a size 20!
I have made a Plus Size Primark Haul Video!

I would really like it if you would watch the video but I’m going to put up a few pics of some of the tops that I picked up over the last week just so you can see that there are some things that we women at the bigger end of plus size can pick up for fantastic prices that are still super on trend <3
I’m going to start with my favourite Primark Purchase

Black floaty Crop top, UK size 18!!!
They have this in black, Cream and Pink
£3 in Primark.
I love how girly a floaty this top is, its really fun and swishy
This is an oversized loungy crop top that has super droopy arm holes,
This is a size 20! and is also £3 in Primark at the moment,
They have this one is Black, white, purple and a neon orange.
Guns N Roses oversized T dress.
This is a long Tee that I have put a midi skirt over.
This is a UK size 20 and sells for £8
I don’t want to go into too much detail about these items as I plan to blog about them individually in outfit posts at some point.
I just want to show that there are a lot of options available to bigger girls in stores that don’t stock our size.
It really is all about just going in and have a good look and a good feel of fabrics and knowing your body well enough to know what will and won’t work for you.
I literally go into Primark and give the clothes a good pull and stretch and I always find items that work.
I hope you find this post helpful and I hope you like the items that I picked up.
If I had to recommend one item I would say definitely pick up that floaty crop top as it is sooooo lovely and its only Three squids!!!!!
You can see what else I picked up in my haul video if you haven’t already.
Thanks for reading guys….

My Skin care routine.

Care for the skin you’re in!
As some of you may know I am a makeup artist in  nd I have decided to start incorporating some beauty into my blog.
I am a huge fan of makeup and what it can do but I think the foundation for your makeup if far more important. By foundation I’m not talking about base makeup I am talking about our skin!
I have had problems with my skin in the past but at the moment my skin is in the best condition it has ever been purely because I have been taking care of it.
I will be 30 this year (eek) and I have only been making an effort with my skin for approx. the last two years.
My skin care routine is pretty simple and it works for me. I must stress at this point that what works for one person may not work for another and I feel like finding your best routine is a matter of either trial and error or thorough research.
In this post I am just going to show you what works for me and show you that you don’t need a 100 step programme to achieve and maintain good skin.

1. Simple kind to skin moisturising facial wash I use this everyday when washing my face in the shower, I love the simple range because it is so gentle.
2.Bioderma Sensibio H2O This is my daily cleanser, I swear by it and use it on myself and my makeup clients. I use it to remove makeup and find it super effective (even with water proof eye makeup) I also use it when I have no makeup on just as an everyday cleanser.
3. Clinique clarifying lotion This is a liquid exfoliator and I only use this about 2-3 times a week and has worked well for me for the last two years.
4. Avene Cleanance toner. This is a very new addition to my skin care routine as I have never used a separate toner before but I heard wonderful things about this one so I am now giving it a try out.
When it comes to moisturisers I jump between these three depending solely on the weather
1. Clinque dramatically Different Moisturising Gel I use this one when the weather is really warm, as its a gel it is very very light weight and even though it feels as though you have nothing on your skin it is very moisturising.
2. No7 Essential Moisture day fluid This is my go to face cream most of the time, I find it works very well and is again very light weight (which I prefer for having under makeup as well) This is a great cream to chuck on every day and sometime i mix it with a foundation to make a tinted moisturiser for day when i just want to even out my skin tone without a full face of slap.
3. Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate This is a very heavy cream popular in the makeup world at the moment. I use this cream only in the winter it is very thick and luxurious but not a good cream for people with oily skin. Even in the winter I only use it at night before bed and skin is beautiful in the morning.
I’m loving my skin at the moment. sometimes on lazy days I will just cleanse and moisturise, I tend not to deviate away from these products because they have been working so well for me. Sometimes I hear about wonder products and give those a shot but I always come back to my old faithfuls.
I have just recently heard a lot of talk about a new cream to help with breakouts and problem skin, I placed an order for a tube this morning and I will definitely be doing a review once I have given it a whirl.
Please let me know if you think I should add some beauty posts into my blog…I would really like to hear your thoughts xxx
