Pretty Polkadot Polly Pieces.

Polka Dot Polly Love
Over the Xmas period Polka Dot Polly was having an incredible advent calendar sale.
I had never ordered from them before so I decided to pick up a custom made piece of each, a dress, a top and a skirt.
The dress that I ordered was a deep red with small polka dots, when it came in the post I was soooo excited, I haven’t been able to find anything in a style like this in my size and it is so beautifully made. The shape of the bodice is not the one that I had wanted but unfortunately after reviewing my measurements I was told that this one was the only on that was going to work.
I think the style of bodice on this dress actually works to my advantage in that it makes my boobs look incredible!!!!!! lol
The seam across the back sits quite a bit higher than I would like but to save on having it altered I will be wearing it with a bolero or some such appropriate garment. I got this dress custom made for me with my choice of fabric and choice of skirt style for only £40.
Boobies!!!!!!!

I absolutely love the full circle skirt. I love how flowy it is and it makes me feel like a princess every time I move.
I went for the circle skirt again when I ordered the second outfit. This deal was a top and skirt set for only £25, again in their special Xmas calendar sale.
I looks miserable…but I’m not…see next pic lol
For the top I chose a fabric with a bit of stretch as my boobs are kinda huge and I didn’t want it too tight, if I’m honest I wasn’t really interested in the top when I was ordering, I just wanted a really nicely made cotton circle skirt in my size (which I still cant find anywhere else) so the top was just a bonus. saying that I am really happy with the top as it does look lovely with the skirt.
The skirt is really nice quality heavy cotton (I’m guessing from the sheer quantity of fabric that was used) I would definitely have paid the £25 for the skirt alone, which is probably why I see the top as a bonus.
The skirt reminds me of being a little girl wanting what I used to call a ‘spin around skirt’
I love how much fabric they used to get the full circle skirt effect which I thought would be lacking in skirt in my size.
I will definitely keeping an eye out to see when they have a sale again as I would love another skirt… maybe in an adventurous print next time.
You really must check out their fabric selection… its amazing! They have so may different food prints and character prints…you could really have a lot of fun designing something beautiful and more importantly made to last.
*I ordered and paid for these items myself, these were not sent to me for review.*

OneOneThree Fashion Show and my OOTN

OneOneThree Fashion Show and my OOTN
Recently I have been going to as many fashion events as I can, so when I heard about the oneonethree fashion show that was taking place on Monday I made sure I got tickets. I was already aware of the brand and have a few pieces from their current collection so I was excited to see what they had coming next.
As you are all aware I tend not to pay too much attention to clothing sizes and generally wear whatever I like, oneonethree pieces go up to a size 26 in most of their items and I wear a size 30/32 but the items of theirs that I do have fit very well.
Group shot of the models in the collection.
Unfortunately I was unable to get very many pictures of the collection due to lighting etc.. but I’m sure there will be pictures of the collection available through social media.
The collection was very punk rock inspired (well at least it appeared that way to me) I liked the edginess of the collection and am really looking forward to seeing how people style some of the individual pieces. I feel the collection leaves a lot of room for interpretation which can be excellent for appealing to a wider demographic.
I saw a lot of leather and tartan on the catwalk and felt like I fit right in with my red and black ASOS curve midi skirt and new look leatherette jacket.
My crop top is a piece I got from H&M last year and is a UK size 16 (u cant wear that! lol)
The top is advertised and sold as over size which means that it fits me perfectly as a ‘my size’ crop top.
I love this top that reads ‘Find me backstage’ which is really appropriate as I am a makeup artist by trade and am usually found backstage at events like this.
Me in the venue
I am wearing my simply be extra wide calf fitting boots as it was absolutely freezing that evening.

This is a picture of me with my younger sister, who I took along with me to the show. I kept the makeup simple with winged liner and a classic red lip, MAC’s RiRi Woo
Thought I would throw in my Instagram filtered pic as I really like it, this was taken while waiting for the doors to open for the show.
The show took place at the Metalworks in Angel, Islington.
There was a piece in the collection that I absolutely loved, Its a multicoloured (what almost looks like stained glass) jersey maxi dress. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of it but I will definitely blog about it when its up on the site.
Thank you all for reading once again xxx

A little late to the party!

Last weekend I had a nice little night in planned with my good friend Debz, a Wannabe Princess.
I dressed super casual, no makeup, ready for evening of Chinese food, snacks a plenty and a couple of DVD’s…. Silly me!!!!
I should know better than anyone just how impulsive and up for a night of fun Debz is. This is a pic story of how I went from casual night in, to Oh God we are off on a night out and I have no clothes or makeup!!!!!!!

How I looked when I turned up for our night in!

Never in my life have I been so grateful to have a fellow fatty as a friend!!!!!
With permission of course, I headed off to Debz wardrobe in the hopes of finding something that I would wear with my trusty and ever so comfy Primark snuggly boots, and was still suitable for an impromptu night out with the gays.
I had completely forgot that she owned this dress and when I spotted it, it was a total ‘I hear angels singing’ moment.
When this dress was released on the Pink Clove website I fell in love wuth it (along with every other fat bird on the planet) As everyone was purchasing it I opted for the skater skirt in the same print, which I still love.
As soon as I put the dress on I hated myself for not buying it, I went straight for my phone and onto the Pink Clove website to buy one and being the unlucky lady that I am they no longer have this dress on their website 🙁
Absolutely adore this dress…and the extreme boobage lol
Ok so with an outfit sorted I still had to make something out of my bare face. Luckily The Princess have a truckload of makeup which I got to play it and make myself look presentable. The only problem I had was not having any skin make up i.e. foundation or concealer. But I made do and did a sweet beat on myself.
Make up I did for my night out- no skin makeup and eyeshadow done using my fingers lol.
I had an amazing night by anyone’s standards and am so glad we decided to go out in the end, again having a friend that wears the same size clothes as I do is a bloody miracle that I am oh so grateful for.
Has anyone had nights like this where you have to throw yourself together and are still really happy with the outcome?
do you have plus size friends that you can share clothes with?
I would love to hear similar stories to this as this was definitely new to me, but something I think could be fun to do again.
As always Thanks for taking the time to read Honeys xxx

Outfit of the day… Love this dress by ASOS Curve

First time I’ve worn this dress and I love it!

Last week ASOS has a 50% off 50 items sale… I went on the site and was really pleased to see that the sale carried over into their ASOS Curve department too… One item in particular stood out to me and it was actually something that I had looked at before so when I saw that it was half price I had to snap it up!

love how this dress makes my boobs look lol

Its the ‘ASOS CURVE Pinafore Dress In Paisley Print’ I absolutely love this dress, I wore it with a Simplybe bodysuit, and new look leggings underneath. This dress is now back up to its full price of £36.00
I am a massive fan of paisley print and I love earth tones in the winter. I wore this with a pair of brown ankle boots from Evans  and a tan tassel bag from new look.

I wanted to try and dress the look up a little so I put on a pair of tan suede ankle boots with a Cuban heel but as soon as I saw the rain outside I went straight back to my Evans boots lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day x
