Hue am I?

Hue am I? feat. Pink Clove

With summer fast approaching I have been looking for items to add a little colour to my wardrobe, I am a big fan of black and neutral colours but I have recently been getting a lot of compliments when I wear the occasional pop of colour.
So in the spirit of what my blog is all about, I want try and change up my hues this summer.
I have been experimenting with bright colours and bold prints and actually really enjoying it.
As everyone and their mother knows I am a big fan of kimonos at the moment so when i saw this one on the Pink Clove website I was really excited as I like my kimonos to be big and flowy so whenever a brand has one in my size or larger I am a happy girl. Since the launch of Pink clove I have been very impressed with their range of fashions, quality and price.
This is the Floral Print Kimono
and the Royal Blue Cami Vest
both from Pink Clove
I really love the Kimono, Its hard to tell in these pictures or on the website pictures but the floral print beautiful and super vibrant and of the four kimonos I have at the moment it is the most colourful and summery and a steal at just £20.
I really like the quality of the camisole, In the pictures on the model on the website the cami is very loose and flowy yet I found that it was tighter around the midsection that I thought it would be, it fits me like a regular camisole would without the flowyness. I still really like it but I would suggest sizing up one if you want it to be loose and swing.
I wore the cami tucked in to an ASOS midi skirt as I just wanted a small block of colour.
I got this small leather handbag for a couple of quid on eBay because when I picked up these shoes a month or two ago from Primark I had nothing to go with it.
I really like this all these pieces together,  I decided to go without jewellery as I felt like there was already quite a lot going on and I’m still trying to get used to all the colour and prints etc.
Want this post to show you that no matter your size, all fashion trends are open to every BODY!
*The Pink Clove items were gifted to me for review purposes, all opinions, positive and negative, are honest and my own*

5 outfits, 1 post!

What I’ve been wearing over the last couple of weeks.
With moving house I have been dressing for comfort and practicality, I have taken a few pictures but haven’t really felt like I have worn much to blog about.
I am just doing this quick post about some of the things I have worn recently that I really love and have kept going back to and just show you where the items are available x
I got this maxi dress from new look inspire in their extended range up to a size 32 online, I have just had a look and can no longer find it on the website even though I know I saw it there last week 🙁
I love this dress so much, I’m not really one for bright colours and big prints but I really enjoyed wearing this dress, it felt so summery and all the pink makes it super girly. Its a Bandeau maxi and has no straps and comes with a weaved tan belt which you can see if you look closely lol.
Like I said i have been dressing mostly for comfort, this outfit was for a day of unpacking and then a quick trip to IKEA. I did however want to mention this T-Shirt at some point. This is the ASOS curve oversized T-shirt and is massive, I wear a size 32 and this top is a size 28 and it is huge. I love it, it is such a nice piece to just throw on and go I also wear it alot with black leggings. Here I have it on with a pair of old evans jeans and white converse. The jacket is the Khaki Asymmetric Military jacket with PU sleeves
I wore this outfit to have dinner with family in London, It is an old Simplybe floral blazer, Primark crop top, Primark shoes and old evans jeans. The reason I am including this outfit is because i feel like it pushes boundaries in that i think its rare to see women my size not trying to cover their tummies etc. i love this outfit and i felt so fierce in it. this is definitely one that I will recreate again.
I love this Joe Browns dress, I is covered in a small bird print and is full of autumn colours, its such cute little day dress and I really enjoy wearing it. Its has 3/4 length sleeves and is a a light weight fabric and was great to wear between the seasons.
The jacket is the one I mentioned above, black leggings and black converse, This dress is a Pink clove jersey dress that I picked up a couple of months ago and has actually just gone into the sale today here – Pink Clove Skater Dress
The only thing I can say is that its is the most comfortable item I own! I could have easily sized down, I bought it in my true size and it is very loose and comfy, pair it with leggings and I swear its like you are not even wearing any clothes. This was me on moving day and it was the perfect choice.
Do you have any of these items? or any suggestions for me based on what I like?? I love people suggesting items for me 🙂

Cutesey cutesy pony day feat. My little ‘My little pony’ Jumper

Cutesey cutesy pony day…
The whole reason I started this blog was to say a massive F U to clothing sizes.
In this outfit of the Day I have on a my little pony jumper that I picked up in Primark, this jumper is a UK size 20 and I am not!
The jumper is tighter than perhaps the designers had imagined it should be but I really like it and don’t feel uncomfortable in it at all.
I wore this out fit to the Plus London Plus size market evening last month
I wore my Bete Noire Unicorn necklace with it which I think looked really cute together.
Sticking to the theme I have on Airborne Unicorn lipstick from lime crime.
I’m wearing a waffle skater skirt that I got in the Pink Clove sale for only a fiver.
I have on my Camden boots from new look and a pair of tights.
Please guys… tell me about any places you have found where you can completely disregard the size labels, I’m very interested to know.
I love turning oversized items in to Lucia sized items! <3
Once again… thanks for reading x

A little late to the party!

Last weekend I had a nice little night in planned with my good friend Debz, a Wannabe Princess.
I dressed super casual, no makeup, ready for evening of Chinese food, snacks a plenty and a couple of DVD’s…. Silly me!!!!
I should know better than anyone just how impulsive and up for a night of fun Debz is. This is a pic story of how I went from casual night in, to Oh God we are off on a night out and I have no clothes or makeup!!!!!!!

How I looked when I turned up for our night in!

Never in my life have I been so grateful to have a fellow fatty as a friend!!!!!
With permission of course, I headed off to Debz wardrobe in the hopes of finding something that I would wear with my trusty and ever so comfy Primark snuggly boots, and was still suitable for an impromptu night out with the gays.
I had completely forgot that she owned this dress and when I spotted it, it was a total ‘I hear angels singing’ moment.
When this dress was released on the Pink Clove website I fell in love wuth it (along with every other fat bird on the planet) As everyone was purchasing it I opted for the skater skirt in the same print, which I still love.
As soon as I put the dress on I hated myself for not buying it, I went straight for my phone and onto the Pink Clove website to buy one and being the unlucky lady that I am they no longer have this dress on their website 🙁
Absolutely adore this dress…and the extreme boobage lol
Ok so with an outfit sorted I still had to make something out of my bare face. Luckily The Princess have a truckload of makeup which I got to play it and make myself look presentable. The only problem I had was not having any skin make up i.e. foundation or concealer. But I made do and did a sweet beat on myself.
Make up I did for my night out- no skin makeup and eyeshadow done using my fingers lol.
I had an amazing night by anyone’s standards and am so glad we decided to go out in the end, again having a friend that wears the same size clothes as I do is a bloody miracle that I am oh so grateful for.
Has anyone had nights like this where you have to throw yourself together and are still really happy with the outcome?
do you have plus size friends that you can share clothes with?
I would love to hear similar stories to this as this was definitely new to me, but something I think could be fun to do again.
As always Thanks for taking the time to read Honeys xxx

OOTD Pink clove wrap dress.

I placed an order with Pink Clove around Christmas and one of the items I picked up was the Geo print wrap dress.
I thought about this item quite a lot before I ordered it as it’s not really my style, it’s very grown up and sophisticated but I really really like the colours in the dress for winter.
Thought I would do a quick OOTD post about this dress as it’s still only £10 in the pink clove sale!!!!

My day at Plus London!

Lucia @ Plus London

Last Saturday I attended Plus London Three held at The Hoxton Arches. I am relatively new to Fatshion Blogging and have never been to a Plus London or Plus North event before. Leading up to the event I was really excited but obsessing over what to wear, having met a lot of the plus size bloggers before at various events and following them on social media I know how well turned out everyone always is.
In the end I decided to just go for something that I would feel comfortable in so I could just focus on enjoying the day.

I ended up going for a plain black roll neck jumper from evans that I got about a year ago, the infamous Pink Clove Tartan Skater Skirt, a faux leather studded biker jacket again from evans at the start of the year and my tan Zara bag. I wore this with black leggings and comfy tan boots from Primark.

I was worried that everyone would be sporting the Pink clove tartan, whether it be the skirt or the dress so I decided to make mine slightly different by wearing a black tutu underneath, which I actually really liked.

I had a really good day and it was lovely to meet more of the amazing bloggers that I follow and to have a closer look at what the brands had to offer. A couple of the smaller brands really stood out to me, two of which were jewellery makers… Black Heart Creatives are already known to me as I have two pieces from them already, the infamous ‘Fat Bitch’ necklace and a Custom Name piece both of which I love so much, Im currently trying to decide what I want next.

I saw this necklace on the table of Twisted Siren and completely fell in love with it, Its a heart filled with tiny pink and black candy, then a candy filled bangle caught my eye so I bought both pieces (I’m actually gonna write a separate blog post about this company as their items are amazing and I already want more)

A clothing brand that I hadn’t yet heard of was Miss Lacy Ltd they had a dress on their rail that I have to have in my life, this brand go up to a size 26 on their website, but what I love the most was that when I pulled a sad face that the dress that I love so much wouldn’t fit me I was told to email them and they would make one bigger so that I could have dream dress!!!!!

Its the most gorgeous black and white vintage looking Tea Dress, I am totally obsessed with tea dresses but I still don’t have one so I’m determined to make this one my first!!!!

In the evening I pulled my hair up and changed my top, It was nice to chill out and have a couple of drinks with some friends and new faces.

We took some fun pic with Blast Photo (see more in an upcoming post) and just had a fun day in general. I already cant wait for the next one.
I think these events are such a good idea, its so nice to see up close and personal some of the items that you see online, its was also really good to have an opportunity to listen to the brands talk and ask them questions and get a sneak peak at upcoming items.

Oooooh I nearly forgot… I got a picture drawn by an amazingly talented illustrator…. I absolutely love this picture!

Thanks for reading guys…
Talk soon <3

Pink Clove Launch and Review.

Better late than never? I certainly hope so
Hiya all you beautiful people…
I know this is kinda late but it’s something I really wanted to blog about.
I, along with a group of other plus size bloggers were invited to the launch of Pink Clove, a new plus size retailer based online with clothing up to a size 32.

What I wore to the event (New look Grecian maxi and denim jacket)
We were all treated to cocktails and a lovely three course meal in a private dining suite at the beautiful restaurant Hush in London’s Mayfair.
As pictured a lot of their line was available for us to peruse, they have some seriously nice items and it was nice to be able to have a good look, feel the material and get an idea of sizing.

There were a few items that really caught my eye that I ordered the next day and a beautiful jacket that I haven’t gotten round to getting yet but it will be mine!!!!!
I want to order that cream jacket as soon as possible as its the first thing that jumped out at me and I absolutely love it.
That studded bodycon dress was another of my favourites from the launch, and as you all know I cant resist a nice bodycon so I ordered one the next day in my size.
Just the dress…. stud neckline midi
Daytime look in the dress, with £8 Primark wooly boots and a denim jacket
Or Rock it up a little…. (ex evans jacket and new look heels)
All in all I really like what Pink Clove have to offer… they have some really nice pieces and fantastic prices and its lovely to see more places going up to a size 32.
I have my eye on a few more pieces from them and I will keep you all updated with my Pink Clove purchases.
Stay beautiful…..Talk soon xxx
(P.s. really sorry about the crap mirror selfies x)
