Finding the perfect vehicle for you.

Buying a car…

This isn’t something I have had to think about until very recently. I have had driving lessons on and off for the last 15 years but I have never actually taken a test. Being a Londoner born and raised I never ever needed to be able to drive so it seems like an expense I just didn’t need.

Now that I live in the Midlands, having access to a vehicle is becoming necessary. My sister and I rent a house here together and we decided that we didn’t both need to drive and as she is currently taking lessons it made sense that it would be her. Her driving test is approx 7 weeks away so we are looking at cars that would suit our needs. We are two women, one in her 20s and one in her 30s who both love to shop, love weekends away and have two small breed dogs. We also have friends nearby so will often have a car full, for me these things will rule out anything with three doors and cars with very little boot space.

Shopping for cars is actually a lot of fun but obviously it will be a fairly expensive purchase so there are a lot of factors to consider so  we have been doing a lot of research online, which is a great place to find resources. Sites like cars.com have a wealth of information from price comparisons, helping you sell your old car and of course buying a car that is new or just new to you.

It’s important to make sure, when you’re in the market for a car, that there is no outstanding finance on the vehicle and there is an easy way to check. There are enough outgoing costs with running a vehicle so it’s best to make sure you’re not adopting any other unexpected expenses.

Make sure you do your research and get the vehicle that is best for you and what you will be using it for and enjoy your new car.
